One of my biggest struggles in life was attempting the impossible task of pleasing everyone. I identified my value as a person by whether or not everyone liked me and approved of what I was doing with my life. This led to an obvious lack of personal boundaries and self-respect for my own needs for happiness. I can honestly say every mistake I've ever made in my life stemmed from a lack of boundaries in an effort to please someone. The day I learned to let go of caring what anyone thinks of me was the most freeing day of my life. It might seem hard, but as long as your actions are aligned with your morals and values, laugh it off when someone doesn't like you.
