For a dinner party or special weekend treat, there's just nothing like pie. And for most people, there's nothing like chocolate. Put the two together and you get a "wow" moment.

I didn't believe I would ever say this, but I miss the former administrator of this group, Mrs. J. Towbin. I think a significant number of images would not meet the 3 inch rule and would be removed or proof of size would be required. Even after many years of photography for MacroMondays themes, I still keep a ruler by my side while taking photos on a given theme. As proof of size for this photo, I will enclose proof of the size of the model, which was requested to me in May 2019 by Mrs. J.Towbin.

It will be my pleasure if she sees this photo as an answer to her question about what I make in such small models.

In the previous photo in my photo-stream you can see several pies and this one is one of them.

Happy Pi Day!

HMM!

US$ 3.

I am not passionate about chocolate in Brazil. Everything is sweet in my country. People are learning how to get sugar out of things.

I don't like sugar, but when it is 70% cacao from volcanic lands, I want to die the moment the chocolate is entering my mouth. The taste of chocolate without sugar or milk is divine.

I just practiced for MacroMondays (the topic is pie).

Made using Heather's recipe.

I was waiting in the car while my wife got a couple of last minute Christmas things. I had already gotten the things I needed at the store, so I bought an individual chocolate pie to enjoy while I waited.

Chocolate tarts!

I always make the crust before and bake it, then fill it.

Now those 5 were lying around for a few months, I forgot about them and found them while re-organizing my studio (ahem...).

So I made 5 chocolate tarts variations :)

I have absolutely no idea what happened here! It was very bright inside the Coffee Lounge as you can see here, but for some reason this photo was heavily underexposed. I slightly brightened it up but it's still very dark. I'm guessing the shutter speed was wrong, I have an exposure stop or two that goes too fast or too slow...

One of my absolute favorites...chocolate chess pie! And when it's taken at a church pot luck dinner, that's even better because you know there's plenty of food all around and the dessert table is always packed!!

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." ~Jeremiah 29:11

To please everyone in the family, today I made this variety of Whoopie Pies. Surely this batch will last them for a couple of weeks! Top row - Vanilla with Vanilla filling, Middle row - Oatmeal with Vanilla filling, Bottom row - Chocolate Fudge with Chocolate filling.

I know, we're addicted to it. I'm making it again today....pie crust is done and I'll do the filling a bit later on in the afternoon. Not only is the recipe really simple, but I usually have everything that I need for it already at home, so it's an easy decision to repeat it :-)

About that book, I actually read it....yes, like from cover to cover. How long did I take you ask? Well, let's not be picky about all that. Ok, ok, I took 3 months to read it, but at least I did. And it's a regular book for grownups, no caterpillars turning into butterflies or animals passing parcels and all that baby stuff!

And about that runner, it's again from my grandma's collection of stuff that she bought in the 1960s and is still mostly lying in a trunk since then. Unused. This one had never been used either. The tag was still on it.

Happy Weekending!

Tara, come on over.

Everyone else is welcome too :-) But for those who can't come over, you can make it here.
