Kids learning about squash at Abernethy Elementary in Portland, OR. Squash was the Harvest of the Month veggie, served in the cafeteria. The squash farmers who provided for Portland Public Schools were the Hertel family of Sun Gold Farm. In some of these photos, kids are counting squash seeds in class.
