A photo of the Chivas Regal maturation Storage and whisky blending plant at Dalmuir Scotland. This is only one of similar facility’s that the spirits company own throughout Scotland, and with 27 Warehouses on site at Dalmuir with a proximate storage capacity of 60.000 casks each (depending on cask size) that is a lot of Whisky. Famous brands from the distilling Co. include 21year old “Royal Salute” and best seller 12 year old “Chivas Regal” amongst others, so enjoy our Amber Nectar…….. “Uisge Beatha” (water of Life)
This is from my first ever product shoot which took place yesterday here in Lagos Nigeria. It was a lot of fun and I believe Chivas is a great brand to start with :)

This is a "natural" photograph, no edition, no color enhancement.
I am very pleased for having used on camera flash bounced off a single reflector for a soft light with good contrast.

A collaborative effort, of a kind. Taken by DanielKHC recently in Bangkok, using my new D300. A trial, of kinds, so to speak, of the camera, and whether he should consider one. Shot at 200mm (300mm, 35mm equivalent)and 1600iso (yes, really).
So, it's question time: Daniel is debating whether to move on from his Sony to the Nikon (not any old Nikon, but the D300!).
Should he? He'll appreciate all advice!

Young Nigerians at Skye Lounge at the Eko Hotel in Lagos Nigeria. I made this picture during a shoot for a leading Scotch brand.
This is a composite of 5 images. This was a lot of work but I'm quite happy with the result. I'll post the meaning later, although you might be able to guess what it is.
Lighting is obvious. Softbox upper camera right. Bare strobe behind me camera left. Lighting could have been better though
In my opinion this is the best way to start a new year.......

Besides his family, my father loved his Irish Walking Hat and sipping on good ole Chivas Regal. Me too. In fact, I was given all his bottles of good stuff:-). So I drink a toast to him on Father's Day, the day he passed on eleven years ago.

I still have a little of each type of film in the freezer. Not so the Chivas Regal I bought to bring in the year 2000. I can't recall how long I had it around before finally finishing it. Those Chivas Regal glasses have 2000 on them and came with the whiskey.

These are terrible images shot through a plastic case with all kinds of reflections and distortions. The ultimate waste of the optics capable by the Sony A7R camera + Leica 21mm f/1.4 Summilux-M lens.
But I couldn't pass up the opportunity for championing an important social cause, lol! Taken at a local Costco.
