The 2017 Dax Shepard comedy "CHIPS" (top) was filmed using locations all over the greater Los Angeles area.
The opening scene is a bank robbery and car chase that takes place in Miami, FL. This was actually shot in Long Beach,
CA.
The location of the bank robbery is 275 Magnolia Ave, Long Beach.

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookies
(One of my cousins sent me this recipe, which is different than the one that's on the Nieman Marcus site. Not sure what's what, but this recipe is really yummy with oatmeal and lots of chocolate. Also, I split the dough and only added nuts to half.)
2 cups butter
1 tsp. salt
4 cups flour
1 8 oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
2 tsp soda
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
5 cups blended oatmeal
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
24 oz. chocolate chips
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups brown sugar
Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender or food processor to a fine powder.
Cream the butter and both sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla. Mix.
Add flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. mix altogether.
Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar, and nuts.
Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. (Note to myself: Our oven seems to run a little on the hot side, so 9 minutes at 360 degrees worked better.)

These were really good. Sort of a Japanese red pepper flavored potato chip. Kinda hot, but really tasty.
One poker chip isn't very useful. A set of chips like this one can comfortably supply a table for an evening.
