What's there?!
Do you know those perfect photos in an exotic locale? The crystal clear teal, aqua and emerald tinged water, pristine bronze, white or red sands; the beautiful purple-blue coloured skies as night falls. Do you see the glimmer of the stars, moon and shooting stars?
What keeps drawing so many of us to such landscapes? Is it the waves crashing on the beach; the pristine sands or just the richness of the sky?
In this artwork I explore the emotional experience of such places. The tranquil feeling, worries vanish, you are here, nothing else matters. Just this moment in paradise. Ahhh.....
What happens when close meets far?!
In this painting, I explore what happens when you mix different views on a painting. Creating the feeling of being right there, yet being far away simultaneously!
My goal with this piece is:
For you (the viewer), to be able to experience the two views one after another. Thereby enabling you to see both the glory of nature and its randomness simultaneously. Showing how everything in nature appears perfect, but when we look closely, nothing is ever the way it seems. There are vines creeping all over and plants growing from every nook and cranny. Everything grows everywhere!
There is no order!
Through seeing this painting, I hope you will be inspired to not seek perfection. Instead seek out ways to see the positive aspects of your own personal imperfections and embrace who you really are, with all your quirks and perks.
I think we learn this out extremely well from nature!
Nature, like us; isn't perfect. It's a wonderful mix of glory and randomness. Yet somehow this exact combination makes it perfect!
When was the last time you took a hike in nature?
Was is it too a lookout? Winter, spring, summer or autumn?
Today you have decided, you will hike to a lookout which is high above the clouds.
It takes you many hours to arrive.
Upon arrival you see that the most perfect lookout! What could be better? You have the perfect view....beautiful trees, plants and a the soothing sound of babbling brook....there is a light dusting of snow on the trail, however you can still see and appreciate the green leaves, the browns of the trees, and the blue tinged water!
The weather is also just perfect. All you can hear are the sounds of nature.
This moment is yours. What do you make of it?
Inhale the cool, crisp air. Enjoy the view and the perfect serenity surrounding you!

Where do you go after a long day?! Where you can kick off your shoes, put anything where you please, and just be 100% true to yourself without worry of judgement. Your personal abode i.e. your sanctuary. What feelings come to mind when you think of the precious space you call home?
You see a house in front of you, it seems that your in the back yard though.....standing across a little foot-bridge, just over a peaceful stream full of slow bobbing lilly pads. Out of the windows shine this golden yellow light beckoning you inside.
Everything about this house you designed/decorated exactly to your preferences. This is your home; your sanctuary.
This painting arrives ready to hang.
I would recommend that you hang this painting in a place with a lot of natural light, that way you will be able to see all the blues and greens of the bricks on the wall. It will also illuminate the windows and the greens in the grass. During the day this painting will light up and you will be able to see every last detail.
At night the painting's appearance will change completely, depending on what colour lighting you use. Yellower lights will make the bricks darker, and the painting will appear to take place at night. Whiter lights will make it appear like it takes place in the early morning.
Each lighting change will bring out different details in this painting.
