The work is 78x55x40 in. brushed bronze sculpture with black natural patina from the series "Double Mobius Strip", 2002 - ongoing. Mobius Strip series consist of pieces fabricated using different materials such as corten steel, stainless steel, combination of copper and bronze and leaded stained glass. All of them are large scale, up to 20 ft. tall.
Work statement:
Infinity (Mobius Strip) refers to several distinct concepts, linked to the idea of "without end" which arise in philosophy, mathematics, and theology. The sculpture is based on the Mobius strip, which is a surface with only one side and only one boundary component. In this work I combine two Mobius strips together with common edges. The result is one double rich and fascinating 3D form, representing the idea of continuance, endless repetition of life...

A comprehensive, 60-page digital book highlighting the historical precedence of Eiffel Tower alongside the high-resolution images of the piece is now available at RoccoButtliere.com. The second half of this book provides extensive insights into the design + build process of this 7,900-part, scale LEGO model; insights which were previously only available to subscribers on Patreon. Don’t miss out on this inspiring and concept-to-completion highlight of one of my most iconic works!
The agony of an idea existing only in my mind for two years was offset solely in the ecstasy of knowing I had countless supporters to help me will that idea onto the exhibition tables.
I consider myself truly fortunate to be providing some small insight into our shared history, and with any luck, some hope for a better future.
See the piece LIVE at BrickUniverse Memphis, this weekend at the Agricenter!

The Capitoline Wolf is one of the most iconic Roman / Etruscan sculptures likely preserved since antiquity. It depicts the she-wolf that found and sheltered the infants Romulus & Remus on the slopes of the Palatine Hill - some time during the early 8th century BCE, according to the myth.
At 240 parts, this is more than *twice* the promised size of the biannual exclusive kits!
To be among the first to receive this kit, you'll need to become a Corinthian patron over on my Patreon page by December 12! Your support entitles you to exclusive insights to the entire design + build process, and lends much-needed support to my artistic endeavors.
️ Rome was not built in a day, but with your help, I may just be able to do it within a few years! ️

I'm hardly one for superlatives, but it's an honor to be so overwhelmingly welcomed at Mississippi's first-ever LEGO event! As one excited parent told me, "This country could use more of this!" Filling tables at an exhibition is one thing, but showing how far you can take your creativity all while teaching valuable lessons about the world in which we all live is quite another. From the Baroque gardens of the Vatican, the amber rooftops of Tuscany and the shimmering Mediterranean coast of Alexandria - to the megatall skyscrapers of the Persian Gulf, the crown of Mughal Rajasthan and the gleaming pearls of Lujiazui - and the jewel on the Bosphorus in between! East meets West all on one block of exhibition tables here at BrickUniverse Jackson, and thousands of families from across Mississippi forgot all their differences for a few hours, wanting nothing more than to learn from the work of total strangers. I can only hope to have reciprocated; giving every moment of my attention to each and every inquiry. 🌸
