SOOC: now you see why I love my camera...

I took an architectural boat tour on the Chicago River and found the views extraordinary.

After arriving at Chicago Union Station, a quick photo was in order before exploring the downtown area. These doors have seen so much history over the last century that one can almost feel as you walk through them. I must make a trip here again, it's been a few years.

The Chicago Riverwalk at the south end of the Magnificent Mile, looking southwest from the DuSable Bridge (or the Michigan Avenue Bridge) over the Chicago River toward the Irv Kupcinet Bridge (or the Wabash Avenue Bridge) and the iconic Jewelers Building (a.k.a., the "Gotham City Courthouse") with its green scaffolding, which has since been removed.

Almost to the day - 2 years ago.

The past couple of years have been mild, but compared to this year so far, we did have some truly wintry moments.

not much to see in this video but ... !

for those who wish to visit Chicago one day, a little idea about topography of the city ...

no cropping and editing, I had a lot of trouble with the file of these two videos ... long story to tell :(

I love the mix of architectural styles you see here.
