In case you didn't already know, the Brothers Brick is holding a Chibi Micro building contest! What a great concept - already lots of entries and every one of them has brought a smile to my face. In fact, I think we might just have kick-started a whole new building category!

And it finally gave me an excuse to do some kind of Interstellar build. I really wasn't looking forward to building the Ranger in miniland scale!

Hard to believe it is over 6 years old now, but I've been a long time fan of Angus MacLane's Chibi AT-AT. When i finally got around to building one, I wanted one with more poseable legs. Then I wanted the feet struts and pads. Then I wanted bigger dishes. Once I decided to convert it to an AT-ACT, I wanted slightly longer legs. I still don't think it's perfect...but I'm happy enough with the result to post it. Thanks again Angus for the inspirational material!

Back in 2019, I was asked if I wanted to design an event kit for OrphanLUG, who I display with at Brickworld. The plan was for it to be for 2020, but we all know that didn't happen. Fast forward to 2022, my friends in OrphanLUG finally got this as a buildable kit during Brickworld! The brief was that it needed to be something representing a pop culture orphan, and being an anime fan, I chose Naruto as my orphan. I have always wanted to build the nine-tailed fox from Naruto, but it was certainly ambitious to try and squeeze nine tails into an 8x8 build! I am really happy about how this turned out, and I'm really happy that it finally came to happen, 3 years after I designed it.

Thanks to Simon and Markus for trusting me with the task and letting me run wild with this idea, and for helping me making it happen!
