Civita si trova nella valle dei calanchi. È bloccato da due valli principali: il Fossato del Rio Torbido e il Fossato del Rio Chiaro.
Abitato da 16 persone è raggiungibile con un ponte costruito nel 1965.
La causa del suo isolamento è la progressiva erosione della collina e della valle circostante, che ha dato vita alle forme dei calanchi e che continua nel XXI secolo, rischiando il scomparsa del villaggio, lontano. per questo è anche chiamato "la città che muore".

La bellezza è restituire al divino ciò che ha donato. Qualcosa di grande, superiore e coltivare, dare gloria, contemplare.
La filosofia è l’anima della cultura, è bellezza, in assenza assoluta di bellezza non c’è nulla al mondo.
Davanti ad un cielo io sto in contemplazione.
Come davanti ad un quadro, non lo fotografo un quadro, lo contemplo, nasce dal lavoro.
Anche se fatto da un dilettante .
Dilettante è una bella parola … significa diligere, in sostanza è amare.
Qualcosa di grande è il cielo, meraviglia, affascina, seduce….Fa paura…Chi muove l’universo?
Sto in contemplazione, qualche volta mi sento in colpa, quando fotografo…Consumo e rendo consumabile.
Ma vi faccio sbirciare ciò che io ho visto.
Sono il tramite di bellezza che mi ha lasciato qualcuno di Grande in dono, per voi che guardate.
Se guardate potreste cogliere ciò che io penso del vivere.
La favola del modificare il destino.
L'idea della vita.
