Enjoying the cherry blossoms (and magnolias in bloom) in Kenwood, Bethesda, MD.
The neighborhood has about 1200 cherry trees and, while full of people, is much less crowded than the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC.

sassafras reminds me of my childhood summers. running around at camp, i loved tripping over a sassafras tree, picking a little mitten leaf and smelling its lemonny scent. it smells of summer and sunshine and carefree days. it's the friendliest plant, as it's always waving "hello"!
