A little orphan squirrel eating sunflower seeds at the base of the tree below his nest...his mother was hit in the road in front of my house so I have adopted him and his two litter mates...hopefully they make it!! Its very dangerous out here....cars, dogs, cats (I have three myself, but they wouldn't hurt a fly..but the feral cats are another story), and the Peregrine Falcon that has made its nest a block down..a very dangerous world indeed..man being the worst of the dangers!!

Enjoying the cherry blossoms (and magnolias in bloom) in Kenwood, Bethesda, MD.
The neighborhood has about 1200 cherry trees and, while full of people, is much less crowded than the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC.
