A friend of my son has this car. One like this could suit me, with a different color...:)
This is a fourth-generation Chevy Spark, engineered and built in Korea by GM Korea (and formerly by Daewoo Motor, the predecessor to GM Korea and formerly a fairly well known car brand in its own right). The Spark is the smallest Chevy you can buy.
Sold as the Sail in the rest of the world, but marketed as the Aveo in Mexico and most of the rest of Latin America. This one is in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
The Spark has been around since 1998, but this 3rd generation model is the first to make its way to North America. It has proven popular among fleets and for a time in 2012-13 was among the faster selling cars in the country. The Spark is built in 4 different countries and is one of GM's truly global models.
General Motors revealed numerous concept vehicles featuring stylized twists on Chevrolet’s existing small-car lineup. The cars will be shown off in public for the first time at the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas from Oct. 30 to Nov. 3.
SEMA attracts over 60,000 car enthusiasts interested in performance vehicles, stylized design and accessories such as unique paint colors and dynamic interior aesthetics.
GM also announced it would sell a special kit that can be used to transform the subcompact Chevrolet Sonic into a race car. The B-Spec modifications will be sold in the first quarter of 2013 at Chevrolet Performance retail locations with pricing starting at nearly $3,000, said Jim Campbell, GM’s U.S. vice president of performance vehicles and motorsports.
Campbell said 59% of the 39 vehicles GM plans to show off at SEMA are small cars.“We want to make Chevrolet the brand of choice for performance, personalization and capability,” he said. “The heart and soul of SEMA is really about performance.”
The reveals include:
• The Chevrolet Cruze Upscale concept, which has a “burnished brandy metallic” exterior with a brown leather-trimmed interior, custom wheels, high-performance brakes and yellow-accent leather stitching.
• The Chevrolet Spark Sinister concept, which boasts what GM called an “aggressive” look to mesh with the night-racing that occurs in the industrial districts of big cities.
• Two special designs of the Spark designed to appeal to women, including a concept called “The Color Run” and the “‘Pink Out’ Cancer Awareness” concept.
• The Chevrolet Sonic Z-Spec 1 concept and Sonic Z-Spec 2.5 concept. With a “synergy green” exterior, the performance-oriented Z-Spec 1 has a special exhaust system that enhances the vehicle’s driving performance and lowered ride height.
• The “abalone white tricoat” Z-Spec 2.5 boasts concept wheels with “signal red” edges along with door panels and instrument panels wrapped in jet black leather, jet black suede and orange suede.
• --Spark Z-Spec concept, which features a “salsa red” exterior with body graphics in matte black, a Z-spec grille and lowered ride height.

First-time buyers and inter-city dwellers? This car might be for you. The 2LT has a 1.2L 4-cylinder 16-valve engine that has a pick-up like you would excepted. 0 to 60 in around 11.5 second and top out at 90 mph. Anyway... You live in the city! Where are you going that you would want more power and speed? Anyway... The base price for the Spark starts at $12,995 and a MPG at 28/32.
Quick Note: For you big boys out there, the Spark's cockpit might feel a little snug. And watch your left elbow when taking that sharp left-hand turn. Mind is slowly recovering. 2011 Chevrolet Spark
Chevrolet rightly got a lot of attention for a trio of exciting subcompact concepts unveiled in 2007 at the New York International Auto Show, and the enthusiastic public response has borne fruit—the Beat Concept has leapt from the showfloor to a production model with few changes other than the name. It’s now the Spark, and it aims to bring big style and fun to the growing urban runabout class. While the Spark isn’t going to frighten any Corvettes at the dragstrip, the chassis is solid and eager, and Forza’s Upgrade Shop gives you plenty of options for creating the ideal driver. The Spark also has one of the most interesting (and fun) dashboards around, with a large conventional speedometer next to a digital readout showing a tachometer band and other useful information. Whether you’re into the perky proportions or the tuning potential, the Spark puts a lot of authentic concept car DNA into a small and entertaining package.~FM4~
The guy at the rental car place called it a toaster. It was a bit on the smallish side...
We didn't even ask about it's off-road capability, they're usually not too good dealing with questions like that.

I read a short review on these that mentioned the rear profile is more like an average car lying on its side. Can't argue with that! This color is listed as "Jalapeno" and you can also get one in hot pink. Seriously.
