I see this pickup truck almost daily during the summer and fall months. Apparently the owner drives it to work. Seen in Buy Ridge, IL.

Here's another shot of a very nice Chevrolet C-10. I really could do without the small tires and the air scoop, but it's not my truck. Found in Red Springs, Robeson County, North Carolina.

This classic light duty recovery truck is a 1983-1986 Chevrolet C/K Series K30 or a 1987-1988 Chevy R/V Series V30. I photographed this California style tow truck in Olympia, WA a few years ago. This repair shop is now out of business.

This custom C10 was at Cruise Night a couple weeks ago, parked right by the water's edge. It took some time to get this shot with the sailboats in the harbour and no people in the way, but the opportunity eventually came.
This truck attracted lots of attention that evening, especially with the bright red LS3 under the hood, which will be shown in an upcoming photo!

Chevrolet, Ford and other car manufacturers used painted or plastic grills during the WW2 years. I saw this restored truck at the Lute Supply Cruise-in, Portsmouth, Ohio.

Photographed in Nevada's state capitol Carson City, 2001-2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 extended cab pickup. Carson City was named after American frontiersman Kit Carson. This truck along with USFS Engine 411 completes my fire dept vehicle uploads for this week.
Patina for miles. This old 50's Chevrolet pickup is pretty freaking cool. Looks like a cartoon in real life.

I shot this the day after Thanksgiving 2012 while on a short Route 66 jaunt with my wife and brother. It was a fun day trip. Wish it didn't take me 10 months to get to these. As I look back, a couple months before this, my computer was running poorly for about three weeks. And then it was in and out of the repair shop another three weeks. I shot close to 1,000 pictures while the computer was down. I have been struggling to get caught up since!

The Chevrolet Task Force pickup truck was the successor to the Advance Design. This one was seen at the Maldon American Car Show.

A late '40s early '50s pickup, apparently in mid restoration. Taken in the parking lot of the Willow Glen Safeway.
Let me know if you have an opinion about the exact vintage of this truck. My Facebook friends have suggested '41, '47, '48, '50 and '53. Sorry I did not get a shot of the front. It was driving away from me.
Photographed in Sheldon, IA. This is a very rare vehicle, I have never seen another delivery van like it anywhere else, not even a picture of one. This is a 1958-1961 Chevy Apache 32 based Forward Control step van. It took me ages to identify this truck because the body was built by a small manufacturer called General (no relation to GM/General Motors).
Chevrolet Forward Control vans could be purchased with bodies from several different builders. I believe General in old Chevy brochures refers to General Truck Body a company that still exists and has been around since 1919. Lighter duty Chevy 10 through 40 trucks kept the Apache designation from 1958-1961. Starting in 1962 Chevy pickups & commercial trucks became known as the C/K series. The gaudy white paint around the edges of this one was done by the owner and is not standard on these vans.
