Bill Jacobs Chevrolet in Joliet, IL was the drop-off point for the Chevrolet Tahoe for the Chevrolet Homerun Moms promotion. Our winner was one of 3 that won not only a Tahoe for a week (5/23-5/30) but 4 tickets to her choice of a Cubs or Sox game (She chose a Cubs game in September) ,and an entry into the clinic for her grandkids to train at the Wrigley Field Clinic ran by Chevrolet. She chose from a Chevrolet Tahoe, Traverse, Volt and a Malibu.
One of the members of the Crest Hill Baseball Organization submitted a wonderful letter nominating Donna Marshall for the Baseball Mom contest. She then was notified on Mother’s Day she had won!
The 2012 Chevy Youth Baseball Program has worked with us giving us a $500 check to donate to a local baseball team as well as 10 tees, 10 ball buckets, 10 equipment bags, 120 whiffle balls, a hitting net, and 150 T-shirts. The team then is given raffle tickets that they can sell for whatever price they wish. This money goes directly to the organization. The tickets then get filled out and come back to us to submit to Chevy. The drawing is for either a Chevy Cruze or a Chevy Equinox. There is also a second place entertainment system that included a flat TV and a Blu-ray player.

What: The Chevrolet Cruze.
Where: Showcased at AutoExpo '10, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The Chevrolet hall was a crowd puller, thanx to the Camaro and Beat being put on showcase. AutoExpo was extremely crowded on Saturday, and more so on Sunday. Newspapers reported an attendance of 2.5 lakhs on Sunday. I travelled from Pilani to Delhi, to attend the first AutoExpo of my life, and I wasn't disappointed :). Weirdly, I enjoyed the Auto Ancillary stalls more than the crowd pulling shows set up by the major car manufacturers.
How: Clicked with a Nikon D3000, ISO 400, f/5, 1/50s. Tweaked the Levels and Curves, and then put in a slight Vignette. :)

The Needles Highway is more than a 14-mile road—it’s a spectacular drive through pine and spruce forests, meadows surrounded by birch and aspen, and rugged granite mountains. The road’s name comes from the needlelike granite formations that seem to pierce the horizon along the highway.
The roadway was carefully planned by former South Dakota Governor Peter Norbeck, who marked the entire course on foot and by horseback. Construction was completed in 1922.
Visitors traveling the highway pass Sylvan Lake and a unique rock formation called the Needle's Eye, so named for the opening created by wind, rain, freezing, and thawing.

The colors are "imperial blue metallic" on the Cruze and "crimson pearl" on the Civic. Both are gorgeous.
