Marina Beach is a natural urban beach and is 13 kms (8 miles) long. This is longest natural urban beach in India and world's 2nd longest urban beach. This is one of the most happening place in Chennai.
Lord Napier became the Governor of Fort St. George (1866-1872), Madras Presidency.
In memory of his service to the British, a memorial park and Bridge named as Napier Park and Napier Bridge were constructed in Chennai.

Bit Wierd looking LGD WAP 7 # 30238 pulls Chennai Rajdhani into NZM pf 3 . This loco failed somewhere between Faridabad and Ballabhgarh then WAP 4 #22249 was brought which took it upto MAS. This made it 5hrs 30 mins late
