This series is my attempt to capture the colors, joy, and human emotions of Pohela Boishakh. Through vibrant face art and expressive portraits, I wanted to reflect the energy of the festival, the beauty of our culture, and the happiness people carry in these special moments.

To me, every face felt like a story — colors holding the spirit of celebration, eyes filled with excitement, and expressions reflecting the true essence of Bengali tradition. Captured during the Boishakh celebrations in Chattogram, these portraits show the most beautiful human side of the festival.

National Fisheries Week-2024 was celebrated from 30th July to 4th August with the theme of 'Vorbo mache moder desh, Gorbo Smart Bangladesh'. A discussion meeting was held on 31st July at Chattogram Circuit House on the occasion of the collaboration among the government offices, private sectors, fishermen, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), especially IDF, is expected to be a comprehensive event aimed at promoting sustainable fishing practices, enhancing fish production, and raising awareness about the importance of aquatic biodiversity. The target of fish production in 2041 is 85 lakh tons. This target is almost twice the current fish production. It has to be achieved by meeting the challenges of day-by-day depletion of water bodies, increasing population, climate, and pollution problems. Farm mechanization, the use of modern and automated fish farming technology, and the skill development of farmers are essential to achieve the target.

A delegation of the IFAD, PKSF, and DANIDA visited various activities implemented through IDF, a Partner Organization (PO) of PKSF in Chattogram district on 04 October 2023. Supported by PKSF under RMTP, the safe fish and fish products production & commercialization sub-project has been working with 5,000 fish farmers in Hathazari, Rouzan, Boalkhali & Fatikchari upazila. The mission visited the hatching technology of fertilized eggs of the Halda river, fish nursery, semi-intensive carp-galda fish farming & IoT-based water monitoring system aquaculture, local service provider, ready to cook & fry where they exchanged views with the entrepreneurs & discussed the production process, good aquaculture practices, hygienic practices, market potential, and future action plans. They also had group discussions with beneficiaries on gender, environment, nutrition, and sustainability of different value chain interventions under the RMTP project. In the presence of Executive Director IDF. Zahirul Alam, Mission Team Leader of IFAD, Md. Dewan Alamgir, Senior General Manager (Programme) and Project Coordinator (RMTP) of PKSF Akand Md. Rafiqul Islam and other officials were present. The Mission highly praised the successes of the project activities.
