This is certainly one of the most baroque spaces in the United States! The amphitheater tucked into the slope under the main drag along the waterfront is filled with curved lines and fluid spaces.

Description:
Three young women are sitting on a structure located on the roof of D. B. Loveman & Company. They all are holding a cap in their left hand that is partially raised off their head and their right hand is resting near their right hip. The woman on the right is wearing a dark patterned dress with wide ruffles at the shoulders and neckline. She is wearing a long white lanyard that is tucked into the belt of the dress. The woman in the center is wearing a dark dress with muttonchop sleeves and a light colored shirt. The woman on the left is wearing a medium colored dress with dark accents, muttonchop sleeves, and decorative embellishments on the bodice. There is a man’s hat sitting on the structure next to the women.
The woman on the right is featured in image 2015.001.014. The woman in the center is featured in image 2015.001.012. The man’s hat that is sitting next to the women is used in those two images.
In the background, you can see the Chattanooga Times (Dome) Building and the spires of The Old Stone Church (the original site of the First-Centenary United Methodist Church) on Georgia Avenue and the Mountain City Business College on E. 8th Street.

A turn-of-the-century power plant substation headquarters, Chattanooga, TN. The company was established in 1905, and this building seems to have been built then. I can't find any solid documentation on it, though.

Home of the famous Chattanooga Choo Choo. I think a trailer would look good as a "See Rock City" bird house.
Chattanooga, Tennessee is located in the eastern part of the state on the Cumberland Plateau. The city is surrounded by gorges, mountains and beautiful countryside. It has been experiencing a revitalization lately.
