Intrigued by the new ChatGPT, I signed up today and asked "Why are my 3 cats so important to me?" I found the answer, pasted below, to be quite charming. As a side note, I am intrigued by the AI that helps iStock supply images that are much like the ones I post.

I asked ChatGPt to make one of my virtual profile photos look realistic. It even named the photo LOL.
I taught ChatGPT to write prompts in the way I learned from the great Techhalla.

Apparently (according to ChatGPT)... the phrase "It's like herding cats" has been around since the 1980s. The earliest documented use of the term in a publication appears to be from 1986, in an article discussing the difficulty of managing independently-minded people (especially engineers or academics).
But those academic insights couldn't be further from the truth. It might be uncertain who first penned those words, but whoever wrote them clearly never shared their homes with cats. My cats will come to me whenever I call them. I could easily herd them both into one shoebox, if that was what I wanted to do.
I could also think of many other animal species that would be much more difficult to herd than my cats. Like ostriches for instance. Have you ever tried to take a photo of a flock of ostriches? Those huge eyes and long necks are always moving and they always seem to smirk instead of smile when you ask them to say cheese.
Do ostriches even know what cheese is?
