This rose caught my eye at Chartwell. I loved the convolutions. It seemed to transfer well to black and white.
Chartwell is a country house near Westerham, Kent, that became the residence of Sir Winston Churchill in 1922. He purchased the property, which was in a dilapidated state, and undertook extensive renovations to make it his family home. The house is notable for its beautiful gardens and stunning views over the Weald of Kent, which Churchill greatly admired.
