The Rose Garden, Chartwell, Kent

Chartwell was the principal residence of Sir Winston Churchill from 1924 - 1965. The National Trust acquired it before his death on condition he and his wife could live there until he died.

He employed Philip Tiden to modernise the layout and he added a wing. The interior is as the family left it.
