A trio of Union Pacific E9s pull a National Railway Historical Society charter on the former D&RGW through Mesa, Utah on June 25, 1997. The 16-car special is passing a group of Texas Longhorns enjoying an otherwise peaceful morning in actor Wilford Brimley's ranch in Lehi. UP 951, 963B, and 949 will spend the day pulling the charter more than 250 miles between the UP depot in Salt Lake City, east via the Rio Grande to Provo, west via the Sharp Sub to Lynndyl, returning east to Salt Lake City via the Lynndyl Sub through Tooele.

For 122 pictures in 2022 #74 "Passengers", this is a fishing charter boat (a "party boat") that takes a number of people offshore for fishing. The passengers can be seen lounging on the deck while they travel out to wherever they are going to be fishing.This was taken in the ship channel between Corpus Christi Bay and the Gulf of Mexico (the widest part of the bay is blocked by Padre Island).

Having gathered their three units into one consist, the crew of this Illinois Terminal Belt loaded grain train at Heyworth, IL now pulls south to clear the siding switch for the Tate & Lyle grain elevator. They'll shove back to put the train all together before proceeding south to Clinton. Power is MRIX GP10s 8317 and 8344, and MP15AC 1477.
This line includes approximately 10.7 miles of Illinois Central's original Charter line, permanently severed just north of the train in Heyworth, and south of Clinton.

A quick shot of DB Cargo locomotive 90039 at London Kings Cross on the morning of the 7/8/21 prior to leaping onboard for the run to Alnmouth. I waited until the last possible moment for the driver to turn up and switch the headlights on, but his never happened.
Anyway, the charter train departed at 07:15 as booked and ran as 1Z90 throughout with yours truly on-board to Alnmouth.
Just a simple little shot from a perennially favorite location. The Alaska Railroad doesn't run any regularly scheduled passenger trains south of Anchorage during the off season (mid September to mid May) but charters are a regular occurrence. I'm not sure what particular event this one was for but perhaps it was for the Anchorage Convention and Visitors Bureau which always chartered a train in March between Anchorage and Seward.
Regardless, whatever it is, the SD70MAC leading on the north end looks good framed up by some fir trees as it wheels the train of glass topped Colorado Railcar built coaches around the gentle curve beside the pond at MP 75.5 north of Girdwood with the snowy Chugach Mountains rising abruptly beyond surrounding Girdwood Valley.

In this scene outside of Heyworth, Illinois, the ITB is putting together a grain train for the CN at Clinton with a pair of former IC Paducah Geeps. Constructed in 1855, these rails were part of Illinois Central's original "Charter Line" spanning 453 miles between Cairo and Dunleith (East Dubuque). Motive Rail Incorporated leased 10.7 miles of the old Charter Line from CN, and began operations last year as the Illinois Terminal Belt.

Para ver una foto de "andening" en mi cuenta, nos tenemos que remontarr a mis inicios en el "trainspotting". No tiene nada de malo, pero yo disfruto más de una foto de paisaje que en una estación.
Sin embargo, hay veces que no me queda más remedio que dejarme caer por los andenes para "asegurar" la foto. El último ejemplo , se produjo el pasado sábado cuando me avisaban de que habÃa un chárter de Alsa con salida a las 19.15h.
En Madrid, anochece sobre las 19.30h por lo que las opciones para sacar el tren en lÃnea con luz, eran mÃnimas. Ante esto. decidà ir por ChamartÃn para asegurar la captura. El resultado es el que os muestro, "Marta" 269.415 de Alsa, se encarga de remolcar un ZZ, un 1600 y un coche presidencial de la CWIL camino de Santa MarÃa de la Alameda. El motivo de esta original circulación, no es otro que una despedida de soltero.

Night view of Caprotti valve gear fitted British Railways Standard Class 5MT 73129 on the approach to Swanwick Junction station, Midland Railway Centre. Seen during a 30742 Charters photographic event, the locomotive was shortly afterwards retired for an overhaul.

On the Piaseczno narrow gauge railway you can order your own private train ride, no matter if you are just a normal person (in the sense of a formal entity) or a company. Thanks to some contacts I have at the railway, I got informed that a school chartered a short train for one of the days which I had free, so I decided to snap a quick picture. The railway gets a lot of simmilar orders, because it is located directly on the scenic suburbs of Warsaw.
The uniquely painted Lxd2-454 is passing the passenger stop Zalesie Dolne with a school charter train to Tarczyn, composed of two coaches. The stop, barely visible in the background, has a very old and richly decorated wooden structure and is a historical building protected by law.

During the Trains Magazine '81 for 81' photo weekend, during which the main subject was usually a freight or passenger train featuring steam locomotive 81, participants rode between photo locations on a separate passenger train which was led by either locomotive 93, or SD9 204 as seen here. Most of the other photographers seemed to pay little attention to the SD9, which was nearly as interesting as the steam engines to me. NNRY 204 is former SP 4426.

This was definitely THE shot (at least in daylight that is) of my two days out chasing the famous CPKC Holiday Train for my first time. After photographing them crossing South Bay we headed here to wait at this beautiful and peaceful spot along Lower Road.
They are northbound crossing the little causeway over Charter Marsh just north of the hamlet of Wright. They are about to cross from Washington into Essex County and enter the town of Ticonderoga at about MP 97.9 on CPKC's Canadian Subdivision which traces its history back to 1875. Across the cold blue water of Lake Champlain is the state of Vermont and 25 miles to the east rise the 3000+ foot peaks of the southern Green Mountains.
Leading the way is CP 2249 an EMD GP20C-ECO built in 2013. This is a model unique to the CP (they own 130 of them) which are prevalent system wide in yard and local operations.
