There's a charter and special-events outfit called Transit Systems Inc., and its fleet consists of mostly retired Southern California transit vehicles. The windows signal this was a former RTD/Metro RTS from circa 1988. This was taken outside of the North Hollywood Red and Orange lines stations.

December 19, 2008 the second day of snow and ice at 27°F, Seattle, WA.

Two chartered buses slid down the snow and ice-covered East Thomas Street, hitting each other and then careening on through a concrete and metal guardrail on Melrose Avenue East, and finally stopping, 30 feet above Interstate 5. A third bus following these was blocked from entering East Thomas by a pedestrian who knew better. The third bus would have slammed into the two buses below, surely pushing one or both over the edge. The pedestrian may have saved many lives.

There were no major injuries reported.
