Kids have a blast throwing harmless colored pigment at a participant in a fund-raising fun run in Russellville, Arkansas. The racers - and most of the pigment throwers - ended up a riot of easily washed off colors. The event held at Pleasant View Ball Park was titled: The Nutcracker Sugar Plum Color Run and all proceeds went to 'The Dance Foundation'.

Drove 60 miles to get to this 5K Run somewhere way, way out on the northwest side: the kind of place South-Siders get a nose-bleed just thinking about...

So, what's so special about this particular 5K run? You're looking at it: Men in Kilts...

Of course, we got lost trying to find this place, and the last runner cleared the finish line just as we pulled up. But, we activated our well-honed police instincts, and tracked them down to a nearby watering hole...

I don't blame them, the weather was just dreadful and they had to get out of their wet kilts and into their dry kilts...

So here are two of these brave men: the tallest and the youngest contestant in one shot.

Anyway, put it on you calendar for next year: the weather is bound to be better than it was today, and it's for a good cause, with proceeds going to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation!
