I know that less is more but sometimes more is more. This could be a simple white flower on a dark background but add a bubble and there is suddenly so much more to explore. I will say that there is no clear area on which to rest your eyes and it feels a bit chaotic but it is definitely more interesting than what I thought I was going to get.
If you are also now playing with bubbles I'd love to see what you are working on.

Another chaotic woodland scene, I think the main elements give it enough structure though. . It was originally a 3 x 2 with the marcescent tree on the right as the main subject but I felt a square crop was more balanced.
A banksia flowering head looking down from above. Taken in Craigie bushland reserve. Whilst it looks disordered and chaotic, these flowering heads are complex and highly ordered.

Spinning my wedding ring on my desk at work, watching the light shine off of it, made me want to go home and take pictures of it. Here it is. The ring spinning chaotically, out of control, and the reflection of a single band, showing calmness.
This image has been lain on my hard drive untouched since February, having another root through the the images from the Isle of Skye it stood out as one that definitely needed some love and attention as it had been passed by.
The end to a great shoot at Elgol with the sun already having gone down, with there still being some really good colour in the dramatic stormy sky, and the sea absolutely pounding inland it was hard to stop shooting, so I didn't....
I think this image for me just epitomises Skye and just how wild it is when the weather takes a turn for the worst, which sometimes is no bad thing if you are out with your camera, well it is if you are only 5 minutes walk from the car....

No, our friend is not on drugs, nor has she lost her mind. It was quite breezy and the web has collected an assortment of seed parachute material and other debris causing the chaotic appearance.
