This is an almost adult bird (some hints of buff still apparent on the wings).
Eastern Chanting Goshawk is the default Chanting Goshawk of the drier areas of Kenya to the east of the Rift Valley. It is replaced in the Masai Mara and to the west by the Dark Chanting Goshawk.

This Goshawk was disturbed when we drove by. We just sat and waited for his return and he did to collect its kill , a african scoops owl.
Photo prise avec un "Simulateur" de fisheye (à 20€) vissé sur mon 40mm macro. Le résultat n'est pas si mal que ça, mais ça manque cruellement de piqué je trouve (sans parler des reflets du soleil impossible à éviter !).
