This is a shot of a stairwell in Champlain college, where I lived in first year. (Not in the stairwell, but in the college of course.) I'm pretty sure this stairwell dates to the founding of the university, in 1964, and hence was designed by Ron Thom. The wood imprint on the concrete would math with that, as well as the boxish, angle-y corners of everything. I really enjoyed the light was playing, coming in from the door just above us, and lit from this artifical source below.
