The awesome vintage playground in Champlain Street Park in Van Buren, Maine. Sue remembers it being built when she was a little girl. They don't make playgrounds like this anymore.

The start of another hot day during our record breaking heat wave,

with just enough of a breeze to scuff up the surface of the water.

Brossard was still farms and country.

From Wikipedia: "The Lake Champlain Bridge is a vehicular bridge traversing Lake Champlain between Crown Point, New York and Chimney Point, Vermont. It replaced the Champlain Bridge. The bridge was designed and constructed during an aggressive two-year schedule to minimize the social and economic impact of the original bridge's demolition.[2] It is the only fixed-link crossing of Lake Champlain/Champlain canal between US 4 in Whitehall, 42 miles (68 km) to the south and US-2 at Rouses Point, 85 miles (137 km) to the north."

The "Spirit of Ethan Allen" operates scenic and sunset cruises on Lake Champlain. It's based in Burlington, and that's Vermont's state flag flying from the bow.

The photo was taken from the deck of the "Champlain", a steel ferry operated by Lake Champlain Transportation. They carry both foot passengers and vehicles between Vermont & New York State. We walked on the ferry in Burlington and enjoyed a twelve-mile (one hour) crossing of Lake Champlain, docking in Port Kent, New York for just a few minutes before returning to Burlington.

Wish we had a little sunshine, but Lake Champlain is beautiful regardless of the weather conditions.
