When there are many problems and responsibilities in life, when you cannot feel free, then you challenge yourself and your destiny.
Когда в жизни множество проблем и обязанностей, когда ты не можешь почуствовать себя свободным, тогда ты бросаешь вызов самому себе и своей судьбе.

I composed this image in response to a self-imposed photography challenge: create an interesting image of a door, or doors. In accomplishing this, I sought to construct a photograph that was open (pardon the pun) to interpretation.

Union Pacific Challenger 3985 is under steam and positioned next to the Cheyenne engine house. Tomorrow, the big Alco will be making a round trip to Laramie.
So I'm trying to move away from drawing flat-on side angles, and drawing a bit more 3D. This is my attempt at the Challenger 1 MBT
C-GRNV, a Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 650, on approach to runway 05 at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario. Serial number 6154 was arriving as HRT154 (Chartright Air Inc.) from West Palm Beach, Florida. When this shot was taken, the temperature was -6C/21F - a bit cooler than where it had come from that day.
The Challenger 650 is the seventh generation model of the Challenger 600 series family. Serial number 6154 is the 1,104th member of that 42-year-old family.

Florida has one of the densest concentrations of nesting bald eagles in the lower 48 states, with an estimated 1,500 nesting pairs. Concentrations of nesting territories are clustered around several significant lake, river, and coastal systems throughout the state. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has monitored the population of nesting bald eagles in Florida since 1972.
The bald eagle was removed from the USFWS endangered species list and the FWC imperiled species list in 2007 and 2008, respectively. The bald eagle continues to be protected under the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, along with the state bald eagle rule (68A-16.002, F.A.C.).
This male and female were issuing a challenge (or warning) to another Bald eagle couple which had flown into their territory!
The Challenge was "Eyes"
Thought this would be easy but it was not until about 11am that I saw this cat on a bin around the corner, he has never looked the happiest of cats, but he is full of character. I call him "Jimmy" because he reminds me of the funnyman Jimmy Edwards, and yes I am that old!!
MY THANKS TO ALL WHO VISIT AND COMMENT IT IS APPRECIATED
Getting as close as I possibly can on a circuit board, harvested from a remote-controlled power outlet whose remote went belly-up, capturing examples of tiny surface-mount devices, possibly resistors. The ruler scale at the bottom is in millimeters.
Taken with the Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens at 5X magnification. At that setting, the lens has to be less than an inch (25.4mm) from the subject, making lighting difficult. The lens and camera were attached to a macro focusing rail, a necessary but very finicky device (more so at extreme magnification) used to move the camera fore and aft to focus. Given my sometimes uncooperative set of hands I have, it was a challenge, indeed.
Hi Bella!
OK.. this is in answer to my good friend Bella's challenge! No retouching.. no photoshop. All I did was to crop to a Flickr size! This was taken at 6:00 a.m. right after shower and getting ready for work..No flash.. just a light over my right shoulder. My arm out the window in the kitchen. I was browsing my contacts pics and came upon her challenge.. so Bella.. this is your fault..LMAO!
ps.. believe me this is a really quick shot.. I still had my reading glases on from reading Bella's challenge..lol
I challenge my contacts to this simple tag game..C'mon, please?! Show me your faces!

Saturday Self Challenge; Seat
The challenge for me was not in taking a photograph of the seat but in posting this version with the filtered background. I have a perfectly adequate photograph of the scene but in playing around in editing, found that I could add a filtered background. I'm never sure how much I'm cheating with an effect like this, but its vibrance appealed to me so I've taken the plunge and posted it. After all, it is called a Self-Challenge group...........
