Often this hill has lots of markings in the snow from sled runs but today, either the kids hadn't gotten to it yet, or else the light is not right for seeing them ..... either way, I am always impressed by this landscape as I pass on wintry, snowy, fogy days. Berks County, Pennsylvania
La iglesia de San Andrés en Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia) – Spain; es una iglesia románica de principios del siglo XIII, y en el año 1909 se trasladó a las afueras al barrio de Soto, para que hiciera las funciones de capilla en el cementerio de aquel entonces en las afueras de la ciudad.
La portada, separada del resto del edificio, consta de un arco de medio punto con cuatro arquivoltas decoradas con dientes de sierra, zigzag y elementos vegetales, además de cuatro columnas con sus sencillos capiteles.

The church of San Andrés in Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia) – Spain; it is a Romanesque church from the beginning of the 13th century, and in 1909 it was moved to the outskirts of the Soto neighborhood, so that it would serve as a chapel in the cemetery at that time on the outskirts of the city.
The portal, separated from the rest of the building, consists of a semicircular arch with four archivolts decorated with saw teeth, zigzag and plant elements, as well as four columns with their simple capitals

The village cemetery is now full or no longer open to burials. It is an interesting question what you do with a cemetery that is "inactive". Already, this old graveyard is being used as an area of recreation. "Active" are only the living, unless the dead are still working for us, the living, by giving us a space for contemplation. Wikipedia: The Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (known locally as the Don-Rak War Cemetery) is the main prisoner of war (POW) cemetery for victims of Japanese imprisonment while building the Burma Railway. It is on the main road, Saeng Chuto Road, through the town of Kanchanaburi, Thailand, adjacent to an older Chinese cemetery. The cemetery contains 6,982 graves of British, Australian and Dutch prisoners of war, of whom 6,858 have been identified.
