Mount Moriah Cemetery, Yeadon & Philadelphia, Pa. Mount Moriah was established in 1855 as one of the first rural pastoral cemeteries in the country. Many famous persons including Betsey Ross were buried there. After decades of neglect the cemetery was officially abandoned in 2011. A group of volunteers formed the “Friends of Mount Moriah” to clear the cemetery of the overgrowth of vines, trees, & weeds that made it unvisitable, maintain & update the records, and work to establishing a legal entity for the cemetery. This cemetery has always interested me. At one time Bethany Reformed Church stood on this property and my grandparents along with my dad and his brothers attended. When my dad was still quite young, the church closed and the parishioners moved to the "town church" about 5 miles away. I still attend that church today. Because of this family history, I have walked through this cemetery several times thinking I might find headstones of relatives but haven't found any familiar names.

Wikipedia: The Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (known locally as the Don-Rak War Cemetery) is the main prisoner of war (POW) cemetery for victims of Japanese imprisonment while building the Burma Railway. It is on the main road, Saeng Chuto Road, through the town of Kanchanaburi, Thailand, adjacent to an older Chinese cemetery. The cemetery contains 6,982 graves of British, Australian and Dutch prisoners of war, of whom 6,858 have been identified.

Jewish Cemetery in Lodz
Markus Silberstein – one of the richest Jewish manufacturers in Łódź in the 19th century. He died in France, but was buried in the family tomb at the Jewish Cemetery in Łódź.
A Civil War era cemetery along the Mulberry River. Most of the grave markers are only stones with no names or dates. The oldest marking with writing is 1864.
