Normalerweise bevorzuge ich die Eisenbahn in meinen Motiven zu haben. Aber bei dieser wunderschönen Morgenstimmung im Oberengadin mache ich gerne eine Ausnahme.

Wer ein gutes Auge hat erkennt die Bergstation der Standseilbahn auf dem Muottas Muragl.

RhB Class Ge 4/4'' 624 'Celerina/Schlarigna' had just departed from Pontresina with the R 1960 17:02 Engadine Valley service to Scuol-Tarasp. The typically immaculate metre gauge Swiss train threads its way alongside an equally well maintained footpath. This was the penultimate shot from a splendid three days spent in Graubünden. Happy memories, indeed!

Fog/mist is a regular early morning autumnal/winter feature of the Upper Engadin Valley until the rising sun gets to grips with the new day.

In this view taken at Celerina, RhB Class ABe 8/12 3-car 'Allegra' unit 3501 'Willem Jan Holsboer' was providing the motive power for the Alvra stock set forming the Table 940 09:02 St. Moritz to Chur IR1128.

These dual-voltage units share the [11 kV AC] Albula Valley Inter Regio service operations with locomotives and can also work the Berninabahn [1000 V DC] services.

Ein Distanzstein, entdeckt mitten im Dorf. Die alte Schreibweise der Dörfer auf der linken Seite ist mir besonders aufgefallen.

(Kennt jemand einen treffenderen Ausdruck für solche Steine?)
