I decided to visit this delightful little Cats Museum currently featured under "Editor's Picks" this month... One of the things I especially appreciated were the two posters that had both "Friendly Plants for Cats" and "Toxic Plants for Cats" on the wall. I knew about a fair amount about the toxic plants, but not all, so I very much appreciate that knowledge - might save my own two rl kitties some day because of that!!

They also have real life pics of kitties for anyone who joins their group, and can have their own kitty pics posted in a frame on their walls, There's lots more great information and facts (in both English and Spanish) about our feline friends throughout! From what I gather so far, this seems like the typical swallow scene: there's always one screaming at another, one reacting to the scream and there's always at least one that looks indifferent to the happenings. They're so entertaining!

Sadly, what caused this near threatened Piping Plover to be on alert was not me, but some kid that thought it was fun to run and scare the birds and continued to do it after being told not to by both us and his father.

Imagine being one of only ~8,000 individuals and scared off from foraging by some irresponsible kid!

You never know what species may be around you, and it is important to be respectful of them all.

On this night it was very evident facing away from the core of the Milky Way ... so I composed this capture along the Valley of the Gods Road with the formation off in the distance that can look like a hand touching the sky. Added some light along the road here for some added interest.
