The title for this comes from memories of the images many authors evoke of hopes and dreams floating on the breeze, trailing up to the sky... though in this case, they were caught :)

Day 10
At first I didn't notice the spider that has caught the fly. Only when editing I realized what i just captured.
Caught this little guy drinking from the toilet . I walk into to the living room to see where exactly he ran off to and snapped this photo using my Nikon d3100 with the old manual Nikon E series lens
My backyard is a mine field of spiders and their webs. Some of them have what I call zip lines running a long distance from one bush to another. I think they are mostly orb weaver varieties. This one is medium size, and has cousins all over the place. This one is out in the open, where most are harder to get to.
Ginger's doing the "tongue thing" ... after a particularly satisfying bath. Caught her with a long lens from my desk.

Spotted this improbably beautiful flower one morning on my walk to the train, growing in a gap between the brick walkway and a lightpost. But it only has 1 flower at a time, & they only last the morning. So I stalked it for weeks, watching to see if it had buds that looked about to bloom, and toting my camera & trying to leave early for the train if it did.
I love the seed capsule, too -- that's a developing one next to the flower, & a couple of mature ones out of focus below.
