Thank you all for your visits, favs and comments. I greatly appreciate it and enjoy reading every one!
Such magnificent beauty! “Saint Gatien's Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church located in Indre-et-Loire, France. It is part of the Archdiocese of Tours and is the metropolitan cathedral of the Tours ecclesiastical province. The edifice was built between 1170 and 1547.”

San Lorenzo dates from 1180 - the B & W marble style was used more famously (but a century later) in places like Siena, but it is impressive here as well...

Dormition Cathedral in Kolomna. Three-domed Assumption Cathedral was founded in 1379 by Grand Prince Dmitry Donskoy after the first victory of Russian troops over the Golden Horde in the Battle of the River Vozha. Construction of the cathedral lasted one year, presumably in his paintings participated Pheophan Grek. Cathedral stood until 1672, when it was demolished due to dilapidation. On the place of the demolished church for 10 years was built new, preserved to this day (architect Meletios Alekseev).
In inside of this awe inspiring Cathedral in the heart of Ottawa, gives rise to respect and reverence. Quiet and colorful, the architecture is amazing.
This is Ottawa's largest and oldest, still standing Catholic Church and it is also the seat of the Archbishop
Five blocks from our house, this Cathedral is the oldest and largest church in our city. It always offers so many photographic possibilities.
From deep in my archives and re-edited, this is from 2012, just one year after I took up this fulfilling hobby :)
As you liked yesterday's church, lets stick with the theme, shall we? But yesterday, we had an old and catholic one, today it's time for new and orthodox. The Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica has only been finished in 2013.
It's even more impressive from the inside, but I'll show that to you tomorrow.

The cathedral of Cuenca is one of the most particular buildings of the Spanish Middle Ages. In September 1177, Alfonso VIII of Castile regained the city of Cuenca and was constituted as episcopal seat in the year 1183.
In Gothic style linked to the masters of the French Champagne, the works began in the year 1196 and was concluded in the year 1257.

Ripon is located in North Yorkshire, England and is the third smallest city in England
The Ripon Cathedral we see today is the fourth to have stood on this site. Saint Wilfrid brought stonemasons, plasterers and glaziers from France and Italy to build his great basilica in AD 672.
So I'm definitely not an architecture photographer and certainly not good at panos but I did my best to show you the beautiful interior of The Holy Virgin Cathedral in San Francisco. Isn't this amazing?

The Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Amiens (French: Basilique Cathédrale Notre-Dame d'Amiens), or simply Amiens Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic church. The cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of Amiens (currently Jean-Luc Bouilleret). It is situated on a slight ridge overlooking the River Somme in Amiens, the administrative capital of the Picardy region of France, some 120 kilometres (75 miles) north of Paris. It is the 19th largest church in the world.[citation needed]
Medieval cathedral builders were trying to maximize the internal dimensions in order to reach for the heavens and bring in more light. In that regard, the Amiens cathedral is the tallest complete cathedral in France, its stone-vaulted nave reaching an internal height of 42.30 metres (138.8 ft) (surpassed only by the incomplete Beauvais Cathedral). It also has the greatest interior volume of any French cathedral, estimated at 200,000 cubic metres (260,000 cu yd). The cathedral was built between 1220 and c.1270 and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981.[5] Although it has lost most of its original stained glass, Amiens Cathedral is renowned for the quality and quantity of early 13th-century Gothic sculpture in the main west façade and the south transept portal, and a large quantity of polychrome sculpture from later periods inside the building.
