Eagle with catch at Conowingo Dam in Maryland on 4/10/2023.
Unfortunately this one was so close that I clipped its wings

Kingfisher catching a common minnow.
The light circumstances weren't perfect at all, reason why I'm more than content with only 1/640 of shutterspeed.
This shows Bella playing her favourite game. She has lots of toys, but coloured ping pong balls are favourites, She hides quietly in a tunnel, waiting for me to notice her signal to play. I throw a ball & most times she manages to catch it between her paws. She's also happy to race backwards & forwards along the hall to chase toys until she gets tired & goes back to hiding in a tunnel. Happy Caturday!
Good enlarger lens is supposed to transfer the image from the film to the paper with no or very little additional distortion. Paper needs much longer exposures than film, and longer exposures are natural. So EL are slow, sharp, not more contrasty than needed. Colour rendition, for my taste, is most of the time boring. They are designed to be best at short distances.
So, monochrome, macro photo may be my cup of tea.
A good day , but dull which compromised the captures , with the high iso required

"Be thou the rainbow in the storms of life. The evening beam that smiles the clouds away, and tints tomorrow with prophetic ray."
~Lord Byron~
.....We believed we'd catch the rainbow
Ride the wind to the sun
Sail away on ships of wonder
But life's not a wheel
With chains made of steel
So bless me
Come the dawn....

I take pictures because I like it, not because I am good at it.

A female mallard near the pond waiting for food. I just had bread with me but that's not good for them. Later I'll bring them corn.
Thanks for your visit and taking the time to comment, very much appreciated!🙋♀️
Probably one of the most consistent daylight jobs in Maine, POAY gets underway at CPF203 with MEC 7585 leading. Surely anything can happen, but I'm fairly sure the writing is on the wall in about 3 months when CSX will likely takeover this property. In the meantime, catch 'em while you can!
Also to note-- a few cuts of UP reefers hauling State of Maine Aroostook County potatoes to Washington State. 2022 off to a great start... who would have thought we'd see that traffic ply these rails once more.
