L'històric mercat de la Pescheria està situat dins les antigues muralles de Carles V, que van salvar part de la ciutat durant l'erupció del volcà Etna de 1669, quan la lava va arribar a Catània. Personalment va ser el meu racó preferit d'aquesta ciutat, potser per la semblança a la Barcelona de la meva infantesa.

Il suo aspetto attuale risale al II secolo ed è stato messo in luce a partire dalla fine del XIX secolo.
A est confina con un teatro minore, detto odeon.
The Roman Theater - An ambulatory.
The Roman theater of Catania is located in the historic center of the Etna city.
Its current appearance dates back to the second century and was brought to light from the end of the nineteenth century.
To the east it borders a minor theater, called the odeon.

I needed to stop at Pat Catan's today to pick up supplies to do my swaps over at swap-bot.com
and we had the Fuzz out and about and the manager seen the Fuzz in the parking lot and the manager told Bernie we could bring him into the craft store.
He seemed to be interested in the craft store and the sites and smells.
27 Marzo ,la giornata mondiale del teatro :Reading con testi antichi greco-latini, dal complesso archeologico del teatro antico e dell'Odeon di Catania.
Girando per Catania, ero ipnotizzata da tutto, colori, suoni, odori. Ho incrociato spesso architetture splendide con la spazzatura a coprire le entrate o coperte di graffiti. Madonne accanto a carrelli della spesa abbandonati. Sacro e profano insomma, come sempre in Sicilia o forse in tutto il Sud. E come sempre, nonostante tutto, queste citta' risplendono ugualmente a loro modo.
