Captured at RHS Chelsea this year (2015) - but don't ask me how it works !!

Obviously three of them have an advantage but I think Kaiser was doing a fantastic job seeing it was the first time he had ever played Statues. Can you spot Milu? I missed her totally when I took the photo - lol

Phill had moved the feline statues when he was working in the garden. Shaggy, one of our neighbour's cats, obviously thought something was afoot

Found one of our next door neighbour's cats 'hiding' our near the hedge.

As we have had a few busy days, it will be a stay at home weekend with maybe just a quick walk in the Forest.

Happy Furry Friday everyone

Wishing you a safe and healthy weekend

I caught Kaiser in full flow with the stone cat who sits near 'Mojo's' grass.

As it is going to be a hot weekend, we will probably stay at home as the area will be full of tourists. We might get an early morning walk tomorrow along the coast if we get up in time. Anyway, we are off on holiday next weekend so there will lots of time to get out and about then. We are renting a cottage in Northumberland.

This is one of our neighbour's cats making itself very at home in our garden, as they all seem to be. Caught the black one in the house yesterday sniffing around the food bowls.

Exhausted after our trip to London. How anyone lives there beats me. We will do something chilling this weekend

Chess or Cats, take your pick

Kaiser had actually spotted Ray: he is certainly not scared of the stone cats in our garden

Kaiser seems to enjoy the company of the more inanimate objects in our garden

The little black one belongs to our new neighbour's. Don't know his name but he looks like a Bertie to me! I shall tell you a bit more about him tomorrow and why he's going to be trouble!

just find a comfortable perch and chow down!

some of my cat collection sitting on the dining room table, waiting to go back on their shelf now that the holidays are over.

This cat statue had been sitting by our driveway for the longest time, and every time I'd drive up, I'd catch it out of the corner of my eye, and I'd always have a little start, thinking it was one of my fur babies.

I finally decided it was time to move it, and had Larry set it up on top of the big tree stump looking over the driveway next to the woodpile.

Of course Ozzie had to immediately check out the new location and give his approval.

This trio of kitty cats includes our youngest feline *June*.

She is the most mischievious and active of our three "real" cats.

Update: 12/2012.

When my beloved Siamese cat "Pearl" passed away in 12/2009 we gave this cat statue to my vet clinic and it is in their lobby to this day.

Hello.....I've replaced Jasmine. Now it's my turn to tell you that:

My mommy will be busy.........she's getting ready for Christmas...so she won't be on Flickr much...

Fuggly enjoying a power trip in our garden. For anyone of a sensitive disposition please do not worry, this isn't really Pixie she and Fuggly seem to get on and do occasionally play together.

I really do ache after Pilates last night, but I am sure it is a 'good' ache. We were meant to go to a birthday party near London this weekend but I don't think I am quite up to that yet so we are just going to stay at home and chill out this weekend and as the weather forecast predicts more grey skies and rain, it is probably a wise thing.

Happy Furry Friday everyone

Wishing you all a peaceful weekend

A loyal and constant watcher of the Garden of Benign Neglect. I figure it was about time to give him a bit of credit. I would give him high praise indeed if he could only stop the live cats from pooping in the corners.

Ozzie hiding behind the Cat Hill Farm statue, giving me his usual suspicious stare.

We have a never ending battle with snails in our garden. Couldn't believe my eyes to see this one so perfectly placed

mallorie has quite a lovely voice when she can overcome her shyness.

We have a chipmunk family living inside this tree stump behind our house. It's the best address in town: very exclusive, featuring a private roof deck with a sculpture garden where the Chippies can catch a few rays and enjoy the lovely view of the woodlands. There's ample foraging for specialty foods, regular entertainment taunting the indoor cats chirruping on the other side of the window, and the unparalleled security of multiple hidden entrances and exits.

(of plaster). Asiatic lilies, golden feverfew, pink deutzia.

No object indoors is now safe! I have a chess set with a difference - all the pieces are of Bastet, the Egyptian cat god.

The hollow cat statue may have been a coffin made for a cat mummy. However, no mummy has been found in the object, so it may never have been in use.

The water fountain at a nearby nursery looked extremely happy to be there.

Bastet (also spelled Bast) is one of the most iconic and complex goddesses in ancient Egyptian mythology. She evolved significantly over time—from a fierce lioness warrior deity into a more domestic, protective goddess represented as a cat or a woman with a cat’s head. By the Middle and New Kingdom periods, she became associated with domestic cats, symbolizing grace, fertility, motherhood, and the protection of the home.

shot through my window

We’ve all had a childhood pets. They were our first and best friends much of the time. We’ve also lost a lot of those friends. Losing our childhood/ family pet is a major point in our lives. I want this photograph to show/ fell/ symbolize that yes, they are gone, but not forgotten. Even though our memories of them maybe be dusty, and dulled with age, they haven’t forgotten us. They still watch us, and love us in a way that will never be changed with time or aging.
