I do like the tonality in these images I took a few weeks ago. They are almost all straight from the camera, colour cast and all.... The filigree effect and the gentle colours and the sense of movement just speak to me...

This morning I was downloading some digital photos that I took using the Fujifilm X-T1 with a 8-element, ƒ-1.4/50 Takumar prime lens. If you are into shooting with vintage lenses on DSLRs or mirrorless cameras and you can get your hands on one of these lenses, you won't regret it. If you can't find the earlier M42 mount 8-element, the 7-element version or the PK mount ƒ-1.4/50 are also very nice lenses too.

Runnymede represents Tasmania’s golden age. This Regency marine villa was built by lawyer Robert Pitcairn and Dorothea Pitcairn c1836-1840 and extended by Tasmania’s first Anglican Bishop, Francis Russell Nixon who resided there between 1850 and 1862. Captain Charles Bayley then acquired the house and named it Runnymede after his favourite whaling ship. The Bayley and Bayly families resided in the house for over a century.

Janice's cast was removed this morning! She's feeling the freedom. Now, seven weeks after the orthopedic surgery, she needs to start bearing weight on her right leg in a slow progress. Her instructions are to use a bathroom scale, applying pressure up to twenty pounds today. These exercises will increase in weight bearing over the next three weeks, until she can stand with half her weight on her right leg.
