L’aglio napoletano è una pianta erbacea perenne: l’epiteto neapolitanum in realtà trae in inganno poiché questo aglio è comunemente diffuso in tutta Italia soprattutto in luoghi freschi ed umidi (qui è stato fotografato nei pressi della Rocca di Castrocaro Terme).

La fioritura di questa pianta va da marzo a giugno e corrisponde al periodo ottimale per la raccolta di steli, foglie e bulbi, da usare per insaporire minestre, insalate, frittate o carni.

Neapolitan garlic is a perennial herbaceous plant: the epithet neapolitanum has nothing to do with italian city Naples because this garlic is commonly found throughout Italy, especially in cool and humid places.

The flowering of this plant goes from March to June and corresponds to the optimal period for the collection of stems, leaves and bulbs, to be used to flavor soups, salads, omelettes or meats.

Un osservatore potrebbe vederne in condizioni favorevoli più o meno, solo la metà.

Sebbene nella pratica l'assorbimento della luce degli astri deboli vicino all'orizzonte ci permette di contemplare solo un terzo, circa 2660 stelle...contemporaneamente e dallo stesso punto, in una notte molto limpida e senza luna.

Nelle grandi città non c'è alcuna possibilità di vedere gli astri.

Ciò vuol dire che un osservatore potrebbe vedere solo e dallo stesso punto circa 100 o 150 stelle. 8 o 9 dozzine che brillano timidamente in una notte molto chiara... e questa notte, ci sono le nuvole."
