Isn't that just the way of it. Two days ago I was completely innocent and unaware. I was carefree and totally ignorant of these...these...Squircles! Now I've been introduced to them. Now I'm no longer innocent. Now I'm seeing them everywhere. We're surrounded by them. Who knew? I certainly didn't know anything about squircles until yesterday. Now I'm seeing them all over the place.

For Macro Mondays, theme: supernatural.
It looks like the badly cast magic went badly wrong, and our protagonist is being haunted by the colleagues he cast aside in his demented grab for power.

The effect was acheived with multiple exposures - eight of them. No digital effects.

Very last minute-ly my den was appointed the pack meeting entertainment this month. Thankfully, Lynn found and bought an old and well-loved copy of Cub Scout Leader How-To Book at a thrift shop over the summer for me. I flipped through it and found a short and sweet audience participation stunt that I could quickly doodle up some illustrations for my boys to hold up as visuals for the audience. The boys (and Molly) loved waving the characters around as I read the story and the audience gladly played along with us.
This is pretty close to the version I read: The Thing. I changed up some wording to improve fluidity.
This was also my "do something creative everyday" for yesterday...in between all the sorting and cleaning I've been doing. Yay me!
