Sorry this is such a bad picture. The sauce looks like blood or something.

from journal: Wed. 16 Oct 2007...

"Last night returned to Polidor for dinner-- opens at 7, we got there at ~650 so walked around a bit. Then seated in the front room, unlike last time (in the back).

R: pumpkin soup (like last time)

J: terrine brochet [pike] , sauce verte which was one of the best things I;'ve every had--certainly the best thing on this trip. The terrine was light in texture, a sort of soft pudding-- and the taste was strong-- and salty-- at first I thought it was going to be too salty-- fantastic --the sauce powerful and zesty.

R ordered a bottle of bordeaux

R: boeuf bourgignon--with a pile of mashed pot.

J. guinea hen (pintarde) (like last time).

Dessert: R-- raspberry tart J-cassis pudding/sauce

Everything home-made-- (except the bread, which we saw being brought inside[right before we entered])
