Has anyone ever met a carousel that isn't photogenic at night?

The Griffith Park Carousel was built in 1926. It was built by Spillman Engineering and was originally built for San Diego's Mission Beach. It lived in San Diego from 1933 to 1935 and then moved into its current location in Griffith Park in 1937.

Walt Disney hatched the idea of Disneyland while sitting on a bench outside this carousel watching his kids ride.

This attraction has been used in the filming of many television shows and movies including "Twins".

The beautiful old carousel at the Royal Melbourne Zoo.

Charles I.D. Looff-built carousel built circa 1905. Arrived at Port Dalhousie in 1921 and has remained ever since, outlasting all other attractions at the vanished amusement park. It still costs only 5 cents to ride!

This is the Carouesel from the Orange County Fair...2006...As of 2009 the fair will no longer be there, they are going to build condos or something...

A wedding party came in while we were visiting the museum. They all got professional photos taken on the carousel, and afterward some of them rode it, though it looks like some of them must have gotten off after the pictures.

The Folk Art Museum is small but a real treasure, admission is free (donations encouraged), photography allowed and the friendliest guards in the city.
