Back from our road trip up the CA coastline. One of our fav spots has always been Carmel. This is a cell phone shot...have so many pics to download from my camera but this one from my phone spoke to me. No editing. The cypress tress were incredible to see on this particularly windy afternoon and so well known for this area.
ST NMWA rounds the bend at Carmel, Maine on the former Maine Central mainline behind four shitbox Pan Am motors.
There were clouds in constant motion with the tantalizing intermittent rays of light around me. The road finally rose to a point where I could just get a glimpse of these hills. This is what I had been looking for! The beautiful canvas is the springtime hills of Carmel Valley, California. Thanks of sharing the view...
Carmel College, with extensive buildings and gardens leading down to the River Thames at the village/hamlet of Mongewell in South Oxfordshire, was founded in 1948 as a Jewish boarding school for boys. Since its closure in 1997 and after arguments about the sale of the site and an abuse scandal, little use seems to have been made of the property - much is now seriously derelict - other than as an occasional film & TV location.
Carmel Market (Hebrew: שוק הכרמל, Shuk HaCarmel) is a marketplace in Tel Aviv, Israel
The Carmel market was established in the 1920s.[2] It is bordered by Allenby Street and Magen David Square and is principally located along Carmel Street (which becomes King George Street after Magen David Square), but has expanded over time to streets such as Nahalat Binyamin Street.
The market is open every day of the week, except Shabbat (Saturday), and sells mostly food but also a variety of items such as home accessories, and flowers. Tuesdays and Fridays are the signature days at the market as several independent artists and vendors sell unique crafts, art, and jewellery along Nahalat Binyamin Street.*

After my friend got off work and made it to Monterey, we took off for dinner in Carmel. Before eating, we took in the sunset. I wasn't sure if we would get much color in the sky because of the clouds, but as the sun was setting, we got some really nice light. This was the best effort of the night.
Carmel By The Sea, o semplicemente Carmel come la chiamano gli abitanti. E' situata qualche chilometro a sud di Monterey ed è prevalentemente un centro balneare. Uno dei suoi monumenti è la chiesa "Mission" di origine coloniale edificata dagli spagnoli ed attorno alla quale si è sviluppata la cittadina.
