The Wake Forest Office of Personal and Career Development (OPCD) holds a career event with students and recruiters, Diversity Matters, in the Sutton Center gym on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

Wake Forest University hosts a TEDx event in Wait Chapel on Saturday, February 23, 2013. Business professor Polly Black introduces the program.

Visual artist and professional photographer Toni Lovejoy of My Name is Lovejoy Photography provided instruction over 3 consecutive Saturdays, teaching camera basics, exposure, and composition.

 

Over the course of the program, students became familiar with their personal cameras and practiced developing their creative visions. Each class concluded with a follow-up assignment for review and further instruction. At the end of the program, students were invited to a private gallery where their selected photographs would be shared with family and friends.

This panel will gave students an opportunity to hear from attorneys who work in-house for various companies, from start-ups to multinational corporations. The panelists discussed the scope of their legal work as corporate counsel and explain how their career paths led them to in-house positions. It also served as a wonderful networking opportunity for those in search of internships and full-time jobs

Wake Forest University hosts Rethinking Success: From the Liberal Arts to Careers in the 21st Century, in the Benson University Center on Friday, April 13, 2012. In the final session, Andy Chan leads the conference participants in small groups as they discuss strategies and ideas that they will take from the conference. Stanton W. Green, a dean at Monmouth University, and Denise Hopkins of St. Johns talk with their group.

Visual artist and professional photographer Toni Lovejoy held a 3-week workshop at University City Regional Library to instruct students on camera basics, exposure, and composition. Students received instruction through in-class theory, hands-on activities, and photo walks around the library to develop technical skills and learn how to express their creative visions. The class culminated with a Family and Friends Artist Showcase.
