Loyola University New Orleans' Career Development Center offers resources to students to help you discover your path, practice your skills, communicate your differences, and create strategies for career success. Resources include resume writing, cover letters, thank you notes, mock interviews with a career coach or visiting employer, and seminars and workshops.

Hundreds of teacher candidates visited the 2018 DMPS Educator Career Fair on Saturday, March 3. The district is planning to hire more than 100 teachers for the 2018-19 school year. DMPS has 5,000 employees and is one of the metro's larger employers.

Repro Bubblecut Barbie in Career Girl

Of the nine B45 prototype Olympian chassis built, B45.07 was the first long wheelbase variant. Fitted with an Alexander R type body it was built with the export market in mind and was demonstrated to Singapore Bus Services. It later made its way back to Britain where after replacing the full depth sliding windows and rebuilding the front utilising an ECW parts and a BET windscreen the bus settled down to life with City of Oxford as a dedicated Park and Ride vehicle.

n this Careers in Development session, Annie Toro will discuss her extensive experience in global development policy, which ranges from numerous positions held on Capitol Hill to overseeing legislative operations with the International Medical Corps (IMC). She will specifically delve into her experiences concerning maternal and child health and female empowerment. Ms. Toro will also field questions from and offer advice to young professionals interested in building careers in global development today.

Ms. Toro currently serves as the Senior Adviser for Global Health Policy and Advocacy at International Medical Corps. Previously, Ms. Toro has served as Democratic Staff Director at the U.S. House Financial Services Committee Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations and Senior Legislative Counsel to U.S. Representatives Luis V. Gutierrez. She has held positions at the World Health Organization and the Organization of American States, working on a wide range of development issues including tuberculosis, malaria, child survival, violence prevention, food security, workforce development, noncommunicable diseases, emergency preparedness and response, immigration, housing, health funding, and sanitation and hygiene.

“Careers in Development” is a monthly series featuring U.S. senior-level government, multi-lateral and NGO officials who have worked in the field of development for at least twenty years. The series is aimed at young professionals who are interested in working in development and features speakers from a range of expertise, including humanitarian assistance, national security, and sector issues such as food security, health, and education. Through a roundtable discussion, each speaker offers remarks on their area of interest as well as their career path and influences along the way.

Potomac State College hosted a Career Information Fair, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Davis Conference Center. There were representatives from all over the area to talk to students about different career choices. There were also representatives from the WVU Career Services Center there to conduct workshops on the Job Search, Writing Resumes and Cover Letters, and Interview Skills.
