Just a little stroll around Cardiff you can find some beautiful spots

I'm making the most of a 'trial period' with a new Camera Club.

Our first outing out together was down to Cardiff Bay to do some night shots !

As always, a big 'thumbs up' for 'Jeffda' for the lift.

NB: No filters used. 'Star Burst' effect on lights caused by the 36 second exposure.

This is the view over the Animal Wall in Cardiff City.

A view over Cardiff bay overlooking the Pierhead Building with the Millenium Centre and the Senedd to the right. The wooden structures in the foreground are the remains of the old pier supports that used to fetch and carry cargo to and from the ships.

Indoor arcade at Cardiff.

There was a massive furor - rightly so - over Cardiff Council paying £30,000 to rent a Christmas tree from China for a few years, beginning this Christmas.

The price was inconsequential in my opinion, but the fact that it was from China was inexcusable - I mean, could we not have bought it from the UK at least?

But to add insult to all of this, it wasn't even a tree. It was a tree shaped mesh covered in lights and baubles.

It looks atrocious in the light of day. Absolutely appalling. I honestly think that a local high school could have done a better job.

At night, at least, it isn't as bad.
