My friend, Charles Blackman, drove us to a remote building in Jefferson County , Indiana. When he opened the door we saw a 1951 (left) and a 1947 7-passenger. Behind the Packards, he stores a Cadillac and a low-mileage Corvair.

I met this guy at the car show. He had his authentic 1972 Dodge Polara Highway Patrol cruiser on display. In the trunk he had on display every authentic vintage item the Highway Patrol would have used to investigate an accident, including a genuine department used Graflex camera. I asked him what possessed him to buy and outfit the Highway Patrol car. He shrugged. "I always just wanted one."
