I posted this because the event had a few photographers/videographers that not only captured all of the schmoozing, but were quite apt at mingling with the crowd. Just enough to make the attendees feel comfortable with taking the pictures. I'm sure that enhanced their results; the official photos should be out soon.

Intention/ My intention was to capture the pattern of the water with the tree in the foreground disrupting the pattern to create visual weight.
Reference/ Duchemin said that breaking the pattern in a photograph captivates our attention, and that was my intention with the tree in this photo.
Outcome/ I feel that I created a very visually compelling image, it turned out very good.
Edits/ I adjusted the levels, as well as editing the vibrance and color balance to give the image more warmth.
