This blue hour photograph captured the attractive Jubilee Bridge, and signature buildings around Central Business District. The photograph was taken near the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay. It was unusually calm, with mirror-like water surface in Marina Bay. The photograph showed the captivating and colourful reflections of the bridge and high-rise buildings, and the full moon, in the Bay.
This blue hour photograph was taken near Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay looking towards some landmarks including (from left) ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands, Marina Bay Financial Centre, Merlion, Jubilee Bridge and Fullerton Hotel. The colourful reflections provide complementary interests to the cityscape at blue hour.

No time for our Saturday Morning Post, as Dad is working, so here is a throwback to early December 2015 when we were out in the fields off the Prescott-Russell Trail. Is that snow I see over there? No, I would have to wait another three weeks for the great white fluffy stuff!

This long exposure photograph was taken at 7.43pm three months ago at Upper Seletar Reservoir. Drifting clouds with interesting shapes and sky were illuminated differently in partially blue sky, and were reflected on the surface of the reservoir.
It was slightly windy and thus the reflections were blurred. The small jetty and boats provided locational reference and added interest to the captivating landscape.

There will be a tp at the main landings for both Mousehole and Frogmore Regions Friday morning. This photograph was taken a week ago during our memorable visit to an ice cave in Vatnajökull Glacier near Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon in Iceland.
We had an excellent and friendly guide for the ice cave visit who was very careful with our safety. We went through various passages with open icy walls and cave-like structures.
This photograph captured the internal reflections on the ceiling of the ice cave, as well as the objects in the open area covered with snow. The contrast between the wavy interior and snow-covered exterior was captivating.

A favorite location for great coffee and a stunning view is the Cilantro Coffee Shop and Cafe on Yoho Park's Emerald Lake.
In the distance Emerald peak is shrouded in stormy skies reflected in the Emerald Lake outlet. More views below....

The search for diversity has led me to the place where I found several blossoming lotus flowers. One of them was so attractive and charming that I just couldn't pass by such beauty! Truly a unique picture, in my opinion!
This nightscape of an arch bridge and surrounding area of Gubei Watertown was captured during our visit last month. This watertown is about two hours drive Northeast of Beijing, with stunning lighting of the town at night.
The well lit arch bridge and buildings on either side of the waterway were reflected in the serene water surface. It was a captivating sight to be remembered for our stay at the watertown.
This photograph was taken from the Lower Seletar Reservoir looking towards Orchid Country Club. It was a cloudy and slightly breezy morning, with the reservoir surface offering reasonably nice reflections.
The clouds and cloudlets were progressively illuminated by the rising sun, and this photograph captured the stunningly beautiful clouds and reflections on the surface of the Reservoir.
Much like a miracle drug, I was always chasing the next buzz. The trees totally entranced me from my Yak.
Now that winter is here, I still find myself dreaming of Fall. It will take awhile to adjust to the -26C temps as of right now but I will get there as winter has its beauty too, only it is a cold buzz.

The clouds above and beyond the Bridge were illuminated differently, brightly or in darker shades. The contrasting reflections in the Reservoir provided a captivating morning landscape.

A poppy is a flowering plant in the subfamily Papaveroideae of the family Papaveraceae. Poppies are herbaceous plants, often grown for their colourful flowers. One species of poppy, Papaver somniferum, is the source of the narcotic drug opium which contains powerful medicinal alkaloids such as morphine and has been used since ancient times as an analgesic and narcotic medicinal and recreational drug. It also produces edible seeds. Following the trench warfare in the poppy fields of Flanders, Belgium during World War I, poppies have become a symbol of remembrance of soldiers who have died during wartime. Poppies are herbaceous annual, biennial or short-lived perennial plants. Some species are monocarpic, dying after flowering. Poppies can be over a metre tall with flowers up to 15 centimetres across. Flowers of species (not cultivars) have 4 to 6 petals, many stamens forming a conspicuous whorl in the center of the flower and an ovary of from 2 to many fused carpels. The petals are showy, may be of almost any color and some have markings. 25943
The Lower Peirce Reservoir is Singapore's second-oldest reservoir. This photograph was taken last August at dusk with slight breeze, with contrasting cloud formations and reflections.
This small reservoir has paved paths with spots for sunset and dusk views, including the pavilion that provides a nice feature that contrasts well with the vegetation around the reservoir. The clouds and cloudlets were variously illuminated by the set sun, and complemented the pavilion and link bridge.

It was a calm morning. The candle-like lights lit up the Bridge and surrounds. There were captivating clouds illuminated by the rising sun, with reflections of the clouds and Bridge on the reservoir surface.

Got up and out of the house early to get some shots before work. This is quiet a popular spot to photograph. this jetty is located at the bottom of Olivers hill in Frankston. i was lucky enough that the dense cloud blanket had cleared a but and the clouds where broken up with the sky. which also let some nice light through.

This blue hour photograph was taken from the board walk of Clifford Pier looking towards the historic Fullerton Hotel (on the left) and other surrounding landmarks during a cloudy and breezy evening.
Some of highrise buildings in Central Business District can be seen on the left, with Fullerton Hotel and One Fullerton in the foreground. The highrise buildings in the background included Swissotel Stamford (the tallest in Singapore) and JW Marriot on South Beach. The fountain in the foreground was lit red to celebrate Singapore’s National Day on 9th August, with the Window of Hope sculpture at the centre of the photograph.
